That means narrowing down of the available opportunities, which types of biomedical jobs are right for you.  No matter what you choose, your job is going to involve engineering solutions to biological problems.  That means combining the duties and the skills of engineers and doctors, to form logical solutions to common medical problems. 1) Biomaterial workers

This is a job where you’re all about developing and perfecting technology that’s made to be inserted into the body.  That means things like pacemakers as well as other forms of implants that are used for about the same type of purpose.  This means crafting man made objects into things that are safe to be used inside the body, and that won’t foster infection, and that won’t break down given the conditions.

2) Biomechanics

5) Rehabilitation Engineering

Perhaps the top career if you’re looking for the best potential biomedical engineering salary as well as future job prospects.  That’s because this is a career in which you actually craft and develop the technology to help people adjust to injuries or disabilities.  That means manufacturing different types of prosthesis to take the place of what your body used to be able to do, so that you can work around limitations and live as normal a life as possible.  It’s one of the fastest growing and more major types of careers on the whole.

Just remember that no matter the type of biomedical engineering companies and types of jobs you’re planning on applying to, are going to require some pretty serious educational achievements.  You’re going to have to get a four year bachelor’s degree at the very least.  But if you really want to get the job and ensure you’re a good candidate, you need to go for your masters, but in most cases you have to go all the way to PhD level of education.  That’s the only way to ensure that you’re going to be able to apply and get any biomedical engineering jobs that you come up against.
